Our New Theme - Heroes and Villains

Unknown

At the Rainbow Factory we recently said goodbye to Fabulous Feasts and hello to Heroes and Villains! This means we have completely revamped our Storybook Adventure. All of our activities are now based around... you guessed it, Heroes and Villains. So we wanted to give you a look into what's happening in our action-packed new theme!

When we create a new theme for the Rainbow Factory it is very much a team effort and we use all the staff members' special skills to create the activities. Many of our staff have backgrounds in art, theatre, music and many other specialities so the themes are really developed by the professionals. My job is to make the initial plan for the theme which serves as a base for the staff to develop, then they always manage to take it to a whole new level!

We like to take inspiration from classic stories and fairy tales and this continues in this theme! We will have shows and activities based around famous classics such as Peter Pan, the Wizard of Oz, Robin Hood and Sherlock Holmes. But, as we know, you can't have a Heroes and Villains theme without Superheroes and Supervillains - this is where you come in! We will show how all your favourite characters originated from comic books and this will be your chance to become your very own super hero.. or if you prefer... a super villain! (Eeeeeek). Now, without further ado here is a peek into Heroes and Villains.

 Robin Hood
The mean ol' Sheriff of Nottingham is causing trouble again, he's taking all the people's money in taxesLuckily, Robin Hood and his crew of Merry Men are helping the townspeople by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Come and watch our hilarious stage show and find out if Robin Hood can outsmart the Sheriff of Nottingham and marry Maid Marian.

Peter Pan
Come on an adventure with Wendy and Peter as they fly through NeverlandWith the use of a beautiful musical pop-up book we will see what happens in Peter's story, meet Captain Hook, make Navajo headdresses like Tiger Lily and they will even get to play lots of fantastic games. This activity is not to be missed!

Cinderella
Cinderella is our other special stage show. Will Cinderella make it to the ball? Can you help? She will need to sneak past her Stepmother and Stepsisters, find a new dress (along with some beautiful shoes) and may even get a chance to meet the Prince! Join her on her magical journey and help her along the way!

This is just a snippet of what we are doing in Heroes and Villains, we also have many more amazing activities, such as a treasure hunt, Super Hero training, a super hero adventure in the Imagination Station, Creating Super Hero Tools plus many more!
Not to mention our fabulous crafts! Create your own Captain America Shield, create your own super hero or villain mask, make superhero puppets and even make the notorious Tick Tock Croc.

And don't forget, every time our theme changes we change the models in our Woodland Tales. Look below for a little peek, but come and visit us to see their true wonder, detail and magic.

So be sure to come and visit us at the Rainbow Factory to come and celebrate Heroes and Villains, this theme will be running until October 6th 2016 - and of course, our blog will be following the same theme until that date! So be sure to keep your eyes peeled. It is one of my favourite themes at the factory to date, so it would be a shame to miss it!
